Officials said the systems and partnerships developed for the tournament will serve as a model for future major sporting events in the United States.

Speaking at a news conference at the Foreign Press Center in New York, White House World Cup Task Force Executive Director Andrew Giuliani said more than 6.5 million fans had attended matches, with stadiums reaching an average occupancy rate of 99.7%. The third-place playoff between England and France on Saturday and Sunday's final between Argentina and Spain are expected to be sold out.

Nearly 8 million more people attended fan festivals across the country.

Giuliani said the tournament's greatest achievement was ensuring the safety of millions of domestic and international fans. More than 50 federal agencies worked alongside over 400 state and local law enforcement agencies throughout the planning and staging of the event.

In addition to its operational success, officials said the World Cup has delivered a significant economic boost. Host cities welcomed millions of visitors, with Dallas alone expected to generate more than 2 billion USD in economic activity during the tournament.
