Data from secondary ticket marketplaces showed that average get-in prices for the World Cup quarterfinals fell 31.5% Wednesday and 50.4% in the last three days.

Ticket prices for Friday's World Cup quarterfinal between Belgium and Spain saw the steepest decline, with the cheapest tickets going from about 2,950 USD to 1,200 USD.

France versus Morocco in Boston is currently the least expensive of the four quarterfinal matches, starting at around 1,117 USD.

Analysts say the sharp decline is due to host US being knocked out of the tournament, which greatly reduced demand among American fans. Portugal's exit has also dampened interest, as many had come to see superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's final World Cup appearance.

Despite the price drop, the 2026 World Cup is stacking up to be the most expensive World Cup in history. Seats for the final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey are still priced at around 8,770 USD.
