(VOVworld) – The Dien Bien Phu victory was a triumph not only for Vietnam but also for all of Indochina, said leaders of Laos and Cambodia at a seminar held on Thursday in Hanoi marking the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

(VOVworld) - Vietnam’s struggle for national independence in the 20th century was associated with General Vo Nguyen Giap, Commander-in-chief of the Vietnam People’s Army. General Giap made many key decisions which changed the balance on the battlefield, leading to the resounding Dien Bien Phu victory.

(VOVworld) – Using pack-bikes or pairs of bamboo frames to hold loads at the ends of carrying poles, the people of Thanh Hoa province, particularly female militia, made a great contribution to the Dien Bien Phu victory. They crossed hundreds of kilometers of forest roads under a rain of enemy bombs and storms of bullets to transport supplies to the troops on the Dien Bien Phu battlefield.

(VOVworld) – A series of volunteer activities kicked off in Dien Bien province on Saturday as part of a 5-day program called “Dien Bien Phu in the hearts of Hanoi youth” to mark the 60th Dien Bien Phu Victory.
