(VOVWORLD) - Emeritus Artist Tran Phương from the Mekong Delta was one of the first four Southern voices to be featured on the Voice of Vietnam. He was a unique figure in Vietnamese broadcasting history, being the sole Southern broadcaster to read the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam in 1973, and the first to deliver a commentary in 1975 to declare to the world that Vietnam was reunified. Tran Phuong has passed away in Can Tho city at the age of 89.
