(VOVWORLD) -The Prime Minister has approved a decision on spending an additional 320 million USD on the purchase of 61 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health said that from 6 am to 12 noon on Thursday, Vietnam reported 260 new cases: 2 imported cases and 258 domestic cases Ho Chi Minh City (154), Binh Duong (48), Long An (28), Phu Yen (10), Hung Yen (5), Bac Giang (4), Nghe An (3), Ha Tinh (3), Binh Phuoc (1), Dong Thap (1), and Bac Ninh (1). Of them 207 cases were detected in lockdown or quarantine areas.

(VOVWORLD) - 189 people have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in five localities across Vietnam during the past 12 hours, raising its national cumulative caseload to 17,052, said the Ministry of Health at 6 am on Thursday.

(VOVWORLD) - The Ministry of Health has granted conditional approval for COVID-19 vaccine Moderna (also known as Spikevax) for emergency use in Vietnam. A total of 5 COVID-19 vaccines have so far been approved by the Ministry of Health: AstraZeneca, Sputnik V, Sinopharm’s Vero-Cell, Pfizer, and Moderna.
