(VOVworld)- The winners of the ‘Bui Xuan Phai - For the Love of Hanoi’ Awards have been announced at a ceremony in Hanoi. The Idea Prize was awarded to a group from the Co Loa Vestiges Preservation Centre who wanted to revive the week-long Quang Chieu colored lantern festival that used to be held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The idea is expected to rekindle the Citadel's spirit by restoring a spiritual and cultural ritual that was practiced here nearly 1,000 years ago.

(VOVworld)- Hanoi is the cradle of several genres of traditional arts including Cheo or traditional opera. The Hanoi Cheo Theater has, over the years, played an important role in preserving and promoting the art. The theater is celebrating its 60th founding anniversary this year.

(VOVworld) - Hanoi has announced a plan to name the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long at 18 Hoang Dieu Street Hanoi, an historical and cultural park. The imperial city has been recognized as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.
