The book fair is being co-organised by Thai Ha Books, the Vietnam Women’s Publishing House, Minh Long Books, the Hanoi University of Education Publishing House, and the Hanoi Book Street Management Board as a cultural space for residents and visitors to commemorate Vietnam’s National Day on September 2.

The fair will introduce children’s books and books on literature, economics, history, science, education, life skills, and other topics, selected to appeal to children, students, and adults. A range of offered promotions will include discounts of 30 to 60% on selected items and a variety of gifts.

Do Thi Kim Lac, a representative of Thai Ha Books, said: “At the book fair, Thai Ha Books will offer several promotions for book lovers. On National Day, we want to promote reading culture and introduce young people to good books.”

The festival will feature a “lucky spin” wheel at the main stage, clown performances, balloon sculpting for children, and virtual reality experiences.

Paintings made from eggshells will be on sale to raise money for students at Bản Bo Secondary School in Lai Chau, an initiative organized by the Vietnam Women’s Publishing House. On the evenings of August 29, 30, and 31, instrumental music performances will add to the lively atmosphere.
