On the 5-hectare construction site, hundreds of engineers, technicians, construction workers, and subcontractors are putting the finishing touches on the classrooms, dormitories, administrative buildings, and internal roads.
Nguyen Van Hao, Director of the Viet Hung Investment and Construction Consultancy Joint Stock Company, the project's main contractor, said: “There are currently around 600 engineers, technicians and workers on site. Over the next two weeks, we will continue operating three shifts a day to ensure all construction items are completed on schedule.”
Worker Tran Anh Dung reiterated the team’s determination despite the demanding conditions.
“We keep encouraging one another to overcome the difficulties. Whether it’s sunny or rainy, day or night, we’re doing everything we can to finish the project on time so the children can start the new school year here,” said Dung.
During a site inspection, Vice Chairman of the Son La provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh Tien said that, in addition to completing the school's facilities, the provincial education sector and local authorities need to ensure that teachers, equipment, and all other essential resources are in place so the school is fully prepared to begin the new academic year.
“I greatly appreciate the contractors for increasing the workforce. The site is now even busier than before. Having 600 personnel here shows the contractor’s strong commitment. The remaining stages require highly skilled craftsmen because each task demands precision and technical expertise,” said Mr. Tien.
Within weeks, the new campus is expected to welcome more than 1,000 students and teachers, providing children in this border area better learning and living conditions. It delivers on the government’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities in disadvantaged communities.
