Poonah-paper lanterns, a folk-culture beauty

(VOVWORLD) -The project “Magic of Color” has organized a workshop to make lanterns from poonah paper printed with Hang Trong folk images. The workshop, part of the “Memory Color” program, held at the Area 75 Art Center, 75 Hang Bo street in Hanoi, gave participants the opportunity to make a traditional Vietnamese handicraft product.

(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary and President To Lam says he will continue to adhere to the guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, especially the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on foreign policy. He told an international press conference after being elected General Secretary of the 13th Party Central Committee, that the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress clearly states that Vietnam is steadfast and persistent in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multi-lateralization, diversification, and being a friend and a reliable partner and an active and responsible member of the international community.

Hai Van Gate relic site opens to the public

(VOVWORLD) - Hai Van Gate relic site, a military fortification built in 1826 to guard the top of Hai Van Pass, stands on the border between Thua Thien-Hue province and Da Nang city. In 2017, it was designated a national relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism. Starting August 1, the Hai Van Gate relic will be open to visitors.
