(VOVWORLD) - August 1st marked one year since the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) took effect. In that year, many industries and sectors including seafood exports have made good use of the trade deal.

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam has successfully exported fresh lychees to the Netherlands and frozen dracontomelon to Australia. Ministries, sectors, localities, and businesses are working closely to boost the export of Vietnamese farm produce.

(VOVWORLD) - The European Union-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) took effect on August 1 last year. It’s the first high-standard, new-generation free trade deal the 27-member EU has signed with a developing country in the Asia-Pacific region.

(VOVWORLD) - Although the number of e-commerce transactions with the European Union is not high, Vietnam businesses have been successful in building their first cross-border e-commerce models in the market.

(VOVWORLD) - Thyssenkrupp, a German industrial conglomerate, has moved its Asia-Pacific cement headquarters from Singapore to Vietnam. Its office in Hanoi, with more than 80 staff members, is one of the largest engineering centers of Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions AG (TIS). It draws experts fron Germany, Thailand, and Singapore. Lukas Schöneck, TIS Director in Vietnam, told VOV why the company made the decision to move here.

In the past 5 years, Vietnam has signed several new-generation FTAs, including the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), the EU-Vietnam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA), the UK-Vietnam FTA (UKVFTA), and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
