(VOVWORLD) -A ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 35th anniversary of the All-People National Defense Day (December 22) was held on Tuesday in Prague by the Vietnamese Defense Attaché’s Office and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic.

Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Duong Hoai Nam praised the Vietnam People’s Army active participation in national construction and defense. The Ambassador also highlighted the development of defense relations between Vietnam and countries around the world, including the Czech Republic.
The same day, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Defense Attaché’s Office in Brunei Darussalam also held a ceremony to commemorate the two anniversaries.
Similar activities were held in Rome by the Vietnamese Embassy in Italy and the Defense Attaché’s Office in Spain, which also oversees Italy.
