(VOVworld)-Ho Chi Minh City has held a meeting to mark the World Blood Donor Day on June 14. The municipal authorities granted certificates of merit to outstanding blood donors on this occasion. Vu Ngoc Linh is the record breaker as he donated blood for 65 times: “I donate blood to help people who are in need and to refresh my health. I am happy to be honored for my contribution and will do more as long as my age permits.”

Ho Chi Minh City has received more than 90,000 units of blood donated since early this year. The National Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation will hold a ceremony to honor volunteer blood donors this Sunday.
