(VOVWORLD) - The army has finished building 331 houses for local residents in Dak Lak province under the "Quang Trung Campaign", after more than 40 days of hard work.

As of December 1, 2025, following historic floods, Dak Lak Provincial Military Command, Military Region 5, and the Defense Ministry have deployed more than 5,000 officers and soldiers and 144 vehicles of various types to help residents repair and rebuild homes and damaged irrigation structures across the province.
In Hoa Thinh Commune, the Commando Corps deployed more than 200 officers and soldiers of Regiment 198 and 113 to build 18 houses after 25 days for locals, working days and night to ensure construction quality and completion before January 15, so that locals can welcome the Lunar New Year in their new homes.
“The Quang Trung campaign was a meaningful mission for us and we were all determined to accomplish it, so that locals can have their homes back. We also wanted to continue the fine traditions of the heroic Commando Regiment 198, which has always stood side by side with the people under any circumstances", he said.

The new houses are sturdy shelters for the people following the natural disasters. They are also proof of the close bond between the army and the people. The "Quang Trung campaign's success has reaffirmed the Party, the State, and the Army's determination in ensuring social welfare for the people, so that no one is left behind.
A resident of Hoa Thinh commune said, “We have a new home in just 25 days. I’m very happy. Thank you so much. The soldiers worked tirelessly, from early morning until late at night. It was also raining constantly but they didn't take a single day off."
“Many homes collapsed, including mine, but everything is back in place now. I’m grateful to the Party, the State, the army, and especially soldiers from the Special Forces", another said.
