The forum was jointly sponsored by UN Women in Vietnam, the Institute for Social Development Studies (ISDS), and the Network for the Prevention of and Response to Gender Violence (GBVNet).

It offered an opportunity for organisations, groups, and men’s clubs in Vietnam to share lessons, experiences, and challenges in getting men to promote gender equality and the prevention of violence against women and children.
Attendees agreed to establish a network of men and boys to promote gender equality and the elimination of gender-based violence in Vietnam.
UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam Kamal Malhotra expressed his appreciation of the initiative and said that with the active participation of both men and women, achieving the gender equality goals of the Sustainable Development Agenda to 2030 will be accelerated in Vietnam.
