France’s Le Monde noted that General Secretary To Lam has left a strong mark by initiating extensive reforms of the administrative apparatus, modernizing the economy, and committing to ushering in a new era – “the era of national rise.”
The author of the article said that at the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the 14th Party Central Committee unanimously elected General Secretary To Lam to continue serving as General Secretary of the 14th Party Central Committee, with the responsibility of working with the entire Party and people to achieve the goal of making Vietnam a prosperous and developed nation by 2045.
The focus of this strategy is the 10% growth target by 2030, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, through massive infrastructure projects, a large-scale "technological boost," and the rise of Vietnamese corporations on the international stage, according to Le Monde.
