India hopes China talks will resolve Himalayan border crisis
(VOVWORLD) - India’s army chief said on Tuesday he hopes talks with China will lead to an amicable solution to the Himalayan border crisis.

At a briefing on the situation in India’s Ladakh region, General Manoj Mukund Naravane said he expects another round of talks soon, adding that the several rounds of talks held so far have made little headway in deflating tensions over the disputed border.
India and China have maintained their communication on the issue of troop withdrawals from the Ladakh region. Ministry of External Affairs Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said last Friday the two countries are in constant communication through diplomatic and military channels trying to achieve disengagement in all conflict areas.
