Deputy FM Hang met a delegation of foreign journalists from newspapers of communist parties, political parties holding key positions in their countries, media outlets of the overseas Vietnamese community, and international news agencies who have come to Vietnam to cover the event.

The Congress marks a major turning point in Vietnam’s development, as it reviews and assesses the achievements of 40 years of Doi Moi (Renewal) and defines goals, vision, and major policy decisions to guide Vietnam into a new era of development, she said.

Ms. Hang instructed relevant units of the Foreign Ministry to create the most favorable conditions for journalists to report on the Congress in a positive, comprehensive, and objective manner.

She said she hopes the international journalists will have a successful working trip to Vietnam—witnessing firsthand Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements and experiencing its rich cultural and historical heritage—thereby further promoting Vietnam’s image among international friends.

Representatives of international media organisations praised Vietnam’s achievements after 40 years of renewal as vivid proof of the Party’s sound leadership, and reaffirmed their commitment to providing accurate and objective coverage of the Congress, helping spread messages of peace, friendship, and social progress to global audiences.
