US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Politico on Saturday that “it’s time to look for new leadership in Iran.”

In a post on X, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Tehran’s response to “any unjust aggression” would be “harsh and regrettable,” adding that any attack on the country’s supreme leader would be tantamount to an all-out war against the nation.

Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday blamed Trump for both the casualties and damage during recent riots, saying he had openly encouraged rioters by promising US “military support.”

The situation in Iran has eased in recent days, with schools reopening and internet connections gradually being restored.
