In key localities, the number of international visitors surged sharply. Da Nang welcomed 510,000 international visitors, up 32%. Hue received 238,200 visitors, a 207% increase. Hanoi welcomed 217,000 visitors, a 55% increase. Ho Chi Minh City served 170,000 visitors, 51.7% higher than last year.

The extended holiday gave people more time to travel and marked a busy start to the year for travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, and transportation companies.

These positive signs at the beginning of the year are expected to create momentum for the tourism industry to achieve its goal of welcoming 25 million international tourists and 150 million domestic tourists in 2026.
