At a meeting with the delegation on Thursday, the Naval Region 2 Command, based in Long Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City, assigned tasks to the delegation. Colonel Do Hong Duyen, Deputy Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, asked them to personally deliver letters and gifts conveying the affection of the mainlanders to the country’s remote seas and islands.

The delegation will witness the lives, the silent sacrifices, and the indomitable spirit of the military and people in protecting Vietnam’s sea and island sovereignty, he said.
