More than 5 million USD, including 1.5 million USD from the people of Ho Chi Minh City, were donated on Wednesday to help fight the Covid-19 epidemic and help Mekong Delta provinces cope with drought and salt-water intrusion, according to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The money has been quickly transferred to organizations responsible for containing and treating Covid-19 and provinces hardest-hit by natural disasters. Organizations and individuals in Ha Tinh province donated 760,000 USD to a fund to help fight the Covid-19 epidemic.

Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, thanked donors for their generosity and called for more support.
