National Assembly celebrates achievements, charts reform path for 2025
(VOVWORLD)- National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man highlighted Vietnam’s impressive achievements while presiding over Tuesday’s meeting with National Assembly agencies to review their performance in 2024.

GDP growth reached approximately 7% and all 15 targets set by the National Assembly were met, Chairman Man said. Social security was ensured, with significant progress made by the Government and the Vietnam Fatherland Front in eliminating temporary housing. National defense and security were maintained, foreign affairs were bolstered, and anti-corruption efforts were intensified, strengthening public trust in the Party and the State.
Looking ahead to 2025, a year filled with milestones for the nation, the top legislator urged National Assembly agencies to renew the legislative approach and enhance oversight activities; strengthen decentralization and delegation of authority; and reform administrative processes within the National Assembly.
He also emphasized the importance of preparations for the next National Assembly session, the National Assembly Forum on oversight activities, and the third Dien Hong Awards.
