In his address, Party leader To Lam said Vietnam is at a historic turning point as it enters a new era, which will place new demands on youth and underscore the importance of youth-related work.

Mr. Lam said: “The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Party Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Communications and Education, the Vietnam Youth Federation, member organizations, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union need to propose the Politburo issue a Resolution on youth in the new era of national rise. We need to clearly define goals, tasks, and strategic solutions to mobilize youth, the Party, the people, and the military to join efforts to elevate the nation on a par with the great powers of the five continents.”

The Party leader highlighted the need for renewing the operation of youth organizations and unions, building a resilient cadre of youth leaders, and fostering solidarity among Vietnamese youth at home and abroad.

“It is essential to focus on building a contingence of resilient, pioneering youth leaders who are always impartial and capable of planning and organizing practical, effective revolutionary movements. They should be shining examples that inspire and unite youth and demonstrate a capacity to meet the requirements of youth work in the new revolutionary phase. The youth in Vietnam’s Rising Era need to make breakthrough contributions to national construction, innovation, and digital transformation,” said Mr. Lam.

General Secretary Lam extended his congratulations to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Federation on its new term.
