Overseas Vietnamese academics hopeful of National Party Congress

(VOVWORLD) -As the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam has begun, the overseas Vietnamese intellectual community is watching with tremendous faith and expectation.

Dr. Ha Son Tung, Deputy Head of Advanced Optical Technologies Department at the Institute of Material Research and Engineering, A*STAR, Singapore, expects the Congress to produce groundbreaking, substantive, and quickly implementable policies.
“I have observed that Vietnam's new generation of leaders is making decisions more quickly, decisively, and practically. I have high expectations that after the 14th National Party Congress, these decisions will be delivered even more practically."
"The ultimate goal of any national policy is to improve the economy, increase income, and raise the living standards of the people. I expect the leadership of the Party and State in this term to continue to promote and take the most realistic actions,” Dr. Tung said.
