General Secretary Lam, who is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, met and encouraged delegates of the young generation in the Army in Hanoi on Wednesday, ahead of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defense Day (December 22).
He asked the military youth to always improve their morality, practice their talents, study and follow Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morality and style, have aspirations, establish their careers, and be proactive, creative and ready to take on new tasks.
In the new revolutionary period, the General Secretary noted that the military youth must take the lead in implementing the Party's policies, first of all, building a lean, strong, modern Army in the national digital transformation.
Efforts should be made to help the people develop the socio-economy, actively study, practice, conduct scientific research and apply scientific and technological achievements into military activities, he added.
