PM calls on Dutch businesses to invest more in Vietnam

(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Vietnam-Netherlands Business Forum on Monday in The Hague where he called on foreign businesses and partners, including Dutch ones, to support Vietnam with capital for development investment, technology transfer, experience sharing, advanced management science, human resources training, and fine-tuning mechanisms compatible to Vietnam’s conditions and its international integration.

PM Chinh urged Dutch businesses to expand their investment in Vietnam, particularly in agriculture, logistics, green transformation, and digital transformation. He said he hopes that Dutch investors will thoroughly understand the Vietnamese Party and State’s policies to learn lessons from the implemented projects and address necessary problems.

"On the principle of shared benefits and shared risks between the state, investors, and people, the Vietnamese Government is ready to support Dutch enterprises in difficult times and continue to work with them to reform administrative procedures and improve the investment environment," he added.

PM Chinh and delegates witnessed the signing of cooperation documents between Vietnamese and Dutch businesses.

At a working session with representatives of the Dutch Business Association Vietnam (DBAV) and the Netherlands-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce (NVCC), Mr. Chinh said the Vietnamese Government pledges to create favorable conditions for and support Dutch firms in doing long-term business in Vietnam.

Documents signed at the Vietnam-Netherlands Business Forum include:

-Agreement on cooperation and comprehensive strategic partnership between Hung Nhon Group and Royal De Heus Group.

-Agreement on training, scientific research and technology transfer between the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture and the Netherlands-Vietnam Agribusiness Cooperation Association until 2027.

-MoU between the Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Wageningen University.

-MoU between the Vietnam National University of Agriculture and Lentiz Education Group.
