Presiding over a Hanoi conference summarizing the implementation of international agreements and commitments in high-level foreign affairs activities during the 2021-2025 term, Prime Minister Chinh applauded what have been achieved in the past period.
He emphasized greater efforts in the future, saying “All levels, sectors, and localities must be proactive, not wait around, and focus on signing and implementing agreements effectively according to their functions, duties, and authority. Commitments must be consistent with Vietnamese law and international practices, feasible, and resource efficient. The level of signing should be elevated. Instead of exporting individual product, we should now export entire sector. For example, exporting the entire agricultural sector, not just rice.”

The Prime Minister also said that in signing agreements with partners, priority should be given to "quality" over "quantity," minimizing the dispersion of resources that leads to waste and reduced efficiency in implementation. Stakeholders need to intensify research on partners, markets, and emerging global trends to promptly advise and propose policies for signing new agreements and commitments that are suitable for Vietnam, he added.
Earlier, presiding over the conference reviewing the National Steering Committee for International Integration's performance in 2025 and outlining tasks for 2026, Prime Minister Chinh said that this year, international integration should serve the development of strategic sectors like science and technology, high-speed rail, and productivity and product quality improvement. The goal of international integration is to contribute to elevating the country's position and prestige and to proactively pursue strategic international relations, all for the benefit of the people.
