PM urges swift, accountable implementation of key railway projects
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam aims to build a modern, synchronized railway system to support rapid, sustainable socio-economic development and contribute to the national goal of becoming a high-income developed country by 2045.

Chairing the third meeting of the steering committee for key national railway projects involving nine localities on Wednesday, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh outlined the development orientation for Vietnam’s railway system through 2030, with a vision to 2050. Railway transport is expected to play a key role along the North–South economic corridor and in passenger transportation in major urban areas.
Looking ahead, to implement key projects and important national railway developments, the Prime Minister asked Party committees and local authorities to carry out site clearance and the relocation of technical infrastructure. He emphasized the importance of resettlement work and ensuring that people have homes and jobs that are equal to or better than before.
