President Ho Chi Minh’s 131st birthday celebrated overseas

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam's Permanent Mission to the UN and Vietnam representative offices in New York had an online talk on Wednesday with Hanoi poet Tran Dang Khoa about Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle.

The Vietnamese Embassy in France, joined by authorities and citizens of Montreuil, laid wreaths at President Ho Chi Minh’s statue in the city park on Wednesday. Chargé d'affaires Duong Nguyen Quoc Vinh thanked the municipal leaders for hosting the ceremony, a demonstration of the friendship between France and Vietnam.

The same day, the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia organized similar ceremonies at Ho Chi Minh Square in Moscow and the Ho Chi Minh flower garden and memorial stele in Vladivostok.

At a celebration hosted by the Vietnamese Embassy in Venezuela, the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry and the Venezuela-Vietnam Friendship Association honored his revolutionary career and thoughts, which guided Vietnam to victories in wartime and accomplishments in socio-economic development. Celebrations of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday were also held in Japan and Chile.
