Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany agree to uphold cease-fire in Normandy talks

(VOVWORLD) - Russia, Ukraine, France, and Germany agreed to uphold a ceasefire in talks held under the Normandy format on Wednesday.
A joint statement said that the envoys support unconditional respect for the ceasefire and full adherence to it regardless of differences on other issues relating to the implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Kremlin’s Deputy Chief of Staff Dmitry Kozak said the talks were not simple but straightforward. He said the parties agreed to meet for further dialogue in two weeks in Berlin. Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak confirmed the schedule and said he hopes initiatives to speed up the peace progress will be offered at the meeting.
