(VOVWORLD) - The 2024 Italian Film Festival will open in Hanoi next Monday, showcasing six exceptional films highlighting Italy's culture and people.

At a press conference in Hanoi on Monday, Italian Ambassador Marco della Seta said the festival will give Vietnamese audiences a fresh look at Italian cinema and culture.
He said that Italy's rich cultural heritage makes film an ideal medium for connecting people between our two countries. "This year's festival features films that address key issues in contemporary Italy, including immigration, social barriers, religion, and healthcare challenges," he added.
Co-organized by the Italian Embassy in Hanoi and the Asian Film Festival in Rome, the six-day festival’s films will be screened at the National Cinema Center in Hanoi.
