(VOVWORLD) - Authorities in Son La province are completing preparations for the National Assembly and People’s Council elections scheduled for May 15.

“With the 2025 revised Election Law now in place, the election process has been reduced from 70 days to 42 days, allowing us to prepare in a more focused, convenient, and thorough way," said Lo Phong Nam, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Chieng Sinh ward.
"At the same time, digital transformation has meant using the national population database to compile more accurate voter lists. We are also using social media platforms to share candidates’ profiles, giving voters all the information they need quickly and conveniently,” he added.

Guaranteeing security and public order has been made a priority. Major Dinh Manh Tuong, Deputy Chief of the Chieng Sinh ward police, said so far, all activities related to the election have been carried as planned.
"We will continue to coordinate closely with the Election Committee to ensure a safe, secure environment for the election,” Tuong added.
