(VOVWORLD) - Chairman of the Hanoi Federation of Labor Nguyen Van Thang paid a Tet visit to workers and staff at the Van Phuc and Thuong Cat bridge construction sites on Saturday where he praised their dedication and responsibility.

The two key transport projects of the capital currently employ around 500 workers and engineers, many of whom will continue working throughout the Tet holiday to ensure projects stay on schedule.
Thang urged contractors to continue ensuring safe working conditions and occupational safety. He also encouraged workers to strive to complete the projects on or ahead of schedule.
On the same day, the Hanoi Federation of Labor organized a Lunar New Year program at a social housing area in Thien Loc commune, visiting, and presenting gifts to union members and workers of Canon Vietnam Company who are staying in the capital during Tet.

At Thang Long Industrial Park, 26 free bus trips were arranged to help 1,200 workers from Hanoi's hi-tech and industrial parks return to Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, and several northern provinces to celebrate the Lunar New Year with their families.
In addition, 5,500 bus tickets were presented to workers and trade union members.
Under the motto “All union members and workers shall enjoy a joyful Tet”, trade unions across Hanoi have allocated nearly 9.5 million USD to support 368,000 disadvantaged union members and workers during the Lunar New Year 2026.
In Dong Nai, the final buses of the “Trade Union Bus – Spring 2026” program departed on Saturday, concluding an initiative that helped nearly 2,800 disadvantaged union members and workers return to their hometowns for Tet reunions. Many of the beneficiaries are in particularly difficult circumstances and have been unable to return home for the Lunar New Year for several years.
According to the Dong Nai provincial Federation of Labor, since the first departures on February 11, the program has mobilized a total of 72 high-quality buses, providing free and safe transportation for 2,800 workers.
In addition various Tet care activities have also been organized, including gift distribution, cash assistance, “Tet for Family Reunion” programs, and visits to workers staying in rented accommodations during the holiday period.
