Vietnam attends 2nd Global Buddhist Summit in India

(VOVWORLD) - Vice President and Secretary-General of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Venerable Thich Duc Thien has reaffirmed Vietnamese Buddhism’s commitment to promoting dialogue, peace, and harmonious coexistence while attending the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit, held in New Delhi, India, over the past two days.

Held under the theme “Collective Wisdom, United Voice, and Harmonious Coexistence,” the 2nd Global Buddhist Summit aims to deepen the role of Buddhist teachings in fostering peace, well-being, and happiness for humanity through dialogue, cooperation, and a spirit of solidarity.

The Vietnamese Buddhist community shared with the international Buddhist community its model of unified organization, which brings together diverse traditions and schools under a common institutional framework.

Alongside Buddhist activities which have been closely integrated with social life and the successful hosting of four United Nations Vesak celebrations, Vietnamese Buddhism has demonstrated a strong spirit of unity, responsibility, and meaningful contributions to the promotion of peaceful coexistence and peace within the international community.
