(VOVworld) – A documentary film was screened in Hanoi on Thursday to celebrate the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People and the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People (November 29th ).

The film, “Five broken cameras,” directed by Emad Burnat and Guy Davidi, shows the non-violent struggle of people in the West Bank village of Bil’in, which was invaded by Israel settlers. The film won awards at the 2011 Amsterdam Documentary Film Festival, the 2012 Sun-dance Film Festival, and the 2013 Emmy Awards. The UN General Assembly named this year the International Year of Solidarity with the Palestinian People to support Palestine in exercising their national rights, including forming an independent Palestinian state.
