A major highlight of this year’s promotion strategy is the consolidation of activities by central agencies, localities, and businesses into a unified national plan. The approach allows stakeholders to build coordinated annual promotion schedules, optimize socialized resources, and strengthen nationwide linkages to achieve breakthroughs in market outreach.
VNAT Director General Nguyen Trung Khanh said Vietnam is targeting 25 million international visitors and 150 million domestic visitors. This year there will be 79 overseas tourism promotion activities, of which the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will organize 19 events, localities 21 activities, and businesses and economic groups 39 events.

“This demonstrates increasingly close coordination between central and local authorities and the private sector. This is a new trend in Vietnam’s tourism promotion work. All promotion events, whether at home or abroad, are considered key tasks and must be implemented in the most efficient manner,” said Mr. Khanh.
From this year, the tourism sector will prioritize key markets showing strong growth in visitor numbers, spending, and longer stays. In addition, VNAT will continue expanding tourism promotion programs on digital platforms while strengthening cooperation with major technology companies and high-traffic online platforms to better showcase Vietnam’s destinations to global audiences.
