Talking with a Vietnam News Agency reporter on Monday, Dr. Valeria Vershinina, Deputy Director of the ASEAN Center at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations in Russia, said Vietnam’s consistent pursuit of comprehensive renewal has helped it emerge as a reputable member of the international community, an attractive destination for foreign investment, and an increasingly important manufacturing hub in the region. Vietnam, she noted, is now widely perceived as a dynamic economy with strong social progress and a rising international stature.

Journalist Amiad Horowitz of People’s World, a publication of the Communist Party USA, said the 14th Congress reaffirms a development perspective centered on sustainability, in which economic growth is closely linked with environmental protection and improvements in people’s well-being.

Echoing this view, Dr. Vershinina said human resource development is a key strategic focus for improving national competitiveness and ensuring long-term development efficiency. Placing people at the center demonstrates the Communist Party of Vietnam’s clear recognition of the need to maintain political stability while effectively mobilizing resources for development.

According to Horowitz, Vietnam’s comprehensive economic and diplomatic integration has elevated its international position and prestige, ensuring that the major orientations set out by the 14th Congress have not only national significance but also regional and global impact.

The experts highlighted the Politburo’s strategic resolutions issued in 2024 and 2025 covering science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, international integration, institutional improvement, private sector development, energy security, education, training, and culture.

They said these resolutions will enable Vietnam to participate more fully in high-tech fields. Vietnam’s focus on people-centered development, the reaffirmation of its international commitments, and substantive implementation through these strategic resolutions are expected to provide a solid foundation for the country’s next phase of development, according to international experts.
