An editorial in The People (Nhan Dan) newspaper titled “Entire Party, people, and armed forces resolve to create new miracles in a new stage of development” affirms that, for 96 years, the Party’s leadership has been the decisive factor behind every national victory.

2026 marks the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress—a pivotal period for Party policies to take effect in real life and lay a solid foundation for future development. Ministries, sectors, localities and units are urged to study and thoroughly understand the Resolution, and translate action programs into concrete projects and plans suited to the practical conditions of their respective field or region. The Party Central Committee’s strategic resolutions must be resolutely implemented and fundamental changes must be made that serve as a basis for sustainable development, according to Nhan Dan.

An article in the People’s Army newspaper titled “Faith and Action”, said that, now more than ever, the Communist Party of Vietnam must continue improving its leadership capacity and combat strength. It must strongly promote innovation and creativity, encouraging a spirit of “dare to think, dare to do, and dare to take responsibility” among cadres and Party members, while strengthening discipline and consolidating the close bond between the Party and the people.

The Vietnam People’s Army continues to affirm its vital role as an absolutely loyal and reliable political and fighting force of the Party, State and people. The goal remains to build a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern military.

Under the Party’s absolute and direct leadership in all aspects, the Army maintains its working-class nature and steadfast combat ideals, while playing the core role in strengthening all-people national defense and meeting the growing demands of building and firmly protecting the Fatherland, the article said.
