Vietnam, South Africa senior Party officials hold talks
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam and South Africa on Monday agreed to promote the implementation of key outcomes reached during the historic phone conversation in April between Party General Secretary To Lam and Cyril Ramaphosa, President of South Africa and President of the African National Congress (ANC).

The agreement was reached during talks in Hanoi on Monday between Permanent Member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu and the visiting First Deputy Secretary-General of the African National Congress Nomvula Mokonyane.
The two officials also focused on increasing exchanges of visits, especially high-level ones, between the two Parties and countries, and strengthening the sharing of experiences in Party building, leadership, and national governance.
Mr. Tu thanked the ANC President and South African President for inviting the Communist Party of Vietnam leader to G20 Summit of Political Parties and Vietnam’s state leader to the G20 Summit to be held in South Africa in November 2025. He affirmed that Vietnam’s senior leaders will make every effort to contribute to the success of these important events.
Mokonyane said that the signing of the MoU marks a highly significant milestone in the relationship between the two Parties, adding that it reflects the traditional solidarity and close ties between the two sides and will serve as a framework for substantive exchanges and cooperation.
