Festival organizers include the municipal Department of Tourism, the Youth Culture House, and the Vietnam Food and Culture Association.

This year’s Festival, being held both online and in-person for the first time, celebrates the beginning of a happy, safe spring and honors the contributions of frontline medical staff to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

A space on Ong Do street (Scholar street) will feature the art of calligraphy throughout the Tet holiday.

Miniatures and replicas of the Mekong Delta’s floating markets and traditional craft villages crafted by artisans from Binh Dinh and Bac Lieu recall Tet holidays of the past.

“I feel very happy because, after a difficult year of pandemic, at the end of the year there is a Vietnamese New Year festival for people to come and have fun. I hope everything will be better in the new year,” said Nguyen Ba Tan, a resident of Binh Tan district.
