(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam men's national football team climbed to 114th place in the latest FIFA rankings from last month’s 116th, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced on Friday.

With this result, Vietnam has re-entered Asia’s top 20, and remains Southeast Asia’s top two, behind world’s 97th ranker Thailand. Indonesia, meanwhile, trails behind as Southeast Asia’s top 3.
Vietnam’s performance at the ongoing ASEAN Cup 2024 will be counted towards the FIFA’s next rankings, scheduled for January 2025.
