During the call, Prime Minister Chinh proposed prioritizing the expansion and upgrading of the Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) network to a second-generation model, with the goal of reaching 30 VSIPs by 2026.

He also called on Singapore to further increase imports of Vietnamese agricultural products and to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on rice trade cooperation to ensure food security.

The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in building and developing an International Financial Center, and to encourage Singaporean banks, investment funds, and fintech companies to expand long-term investment and operations in Vietnam.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh urged both sides to accelerate feasibility surveys for offshore wind power projects in Vietnam aimed at exporting electricity to Singapore, promote cooperation in carbon credit exchanges, and consider opening more direct flights from Singapore to major Vietnamese cities to boost tourism.

Prime Minister Lawrence Wong agreed to enhance cooperation in clean energy, trade, and defense–security, and reaffirmed Singapore’s continued support for Vietnam in human resource development, including scholarships from Singaporean universities.

Both sides committed to close coordination and effective cooperation in 2027, when Vietnam will host APEC and Singapore will assume the ASEAN Chairmanship.
