World leaders deliver New Year 2025 messages

(VOVWORLD) - Many world leaders have sent New Year 2025 messages expressing hope for a better future. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all people to make 2025 a new beginning, not as a world divided but as nations united.  

Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a New Year message to the Chinese, saying that China will work with all countries to promote friendship and cooperation, and jointly create a better future for the world.

Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that solidarity helps Russian people overcome challenges and fostered people’s trust in national strength.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is optimistic that the German people can "make 2025 a good year", because the fate of their country is in their hands.

French President Emmanuel Macron called on the people of France and European countries to strengthen solidarity and determination to overcome difficulties. “2025 will be a year of solidarity and responsibility to build a stronger and more independent France. In the new year, we will continue to announce many policies and ask for your opinions on some major national issues.”

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba affirmed the Japanese Government's determination to bring prosperity and smiles to all its people.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called on Australians to continue to unite to build a stronger country.
