The tri-border marker is located at the edge of Kon Tum province, which has 292 km of borderlines with Lao and Cambodia. The marker is a monument to the three countries’ resolution of border and territory issues and to the trust and solidarity that has built a border of peace and friendship.

(VOVWORLD) - A wooden stake field recently found in Hai Phong city are believed to have been used in the legendary ‘Battle of Bach Dang’ in 1288. The thousand-year-old stakes found in a Cao Quy rice field in Lien Khe commune, Thuy Nguyen district, have prompted new theories about Vietnam’s great victory against the Mongols’ invasion.

(VOVWORLD) - Yen Tu and Ngoa Van in Quang Ninh province were two important places in King Monk Tran Nhan Tong’s Buddhist life. The King, who was born in 1258 and died in 1308 gave up his power at a young age to lead a monk’s life on Yen Tu mountain, where he practiced and taught Buddhism and established the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen sect. He spent his final years at Ngoa Van pagoda on Bao Dai mountain.

(VOVWORLD) - Rising next to Ha Long Bay, which has twice been included in UNESCO’s World Heritage list, Ha Long is a standout tourism city in northern Vietnam with modern infrastructure, stunning natural scenery, and steady socio-economic development. Ha Long city, the engine of Quang Ninh province’s tourism growth, will continue promoting Vietnam to a wider global audience.

(VOVWORLD) - Ninh Binh province has many historic and cultural relics and famous tourist attractions, including the Trang An Landscape Complex, which is a natural as well as cultural heritage. The province will host National Tourism Year in 2020.

(VOVWORLD) - The historical site of Dong Da Hill in central Hanoi commemorates the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da victory by Tay Son troops, led by Nguyen Hue, over the Qing forces in Spring of 1789. In 2018, the Prime Minister officially recognized Dong Da Hill as a special national relic.
