The remains include 228 individual sets and 28 sets found at seven mass grave sites. A total of 151 sets of personal artifacts have also been recovered.
In just three days, from August 7 to 10, search teams cleared around 850 cubic meters of soil and rock in Area B of the park. They recovered 46 sets of remains and 32 sets of artifacts.
Search teams are continuing to expand the search to areas believed to contain more martyrs’ remains.
Over the past few days, delegations from central agencies, Ho Chi Minh City, the Ministry of National Defense and local residents have paid tribute to the fallen soldiers and visited and encouraged the teams involved in the search and identification efforts.
