Assembly Vice Chairwoman, Nguyen Thi Hong, was among the attendees. Delegates laid wreaths, offered incense at a monument and observed a minute of silence for the heroes who laid down their lives for national liberation. The remains of the fallen soldiers were then transported and buried in a collective grave here.

Following memorial services, Vice Chairwoman Hong, a delegation from central agencies, and local authorities visited and presented 50 gift packages to policy beneficiary families, those with meritorious service, victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, and people in difficult circumstances in Binh Lu commune.

Their activities reflect the Party and State's appreciation and support for families of military personnel and those who have rendered services to the nation to help them improve their lives.
