Louise Adams, Chief Executive Officer of Aurecon and a member of the Advisory Council for the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute, said Vietnam has made significant achievements in economic development and prosperity.
"Vietnam has experience in economic development and has set itself some really ambitious goals recently that it seems to be managing to achieve. And I would expect that sort of energy and ambition to be brought to the chairmanship of APEC," she added and expected Vietnam to focus on addressing challenges in economic development across the region and the global challenges that exist, "creating a really good platform for a conversation about collaboration."
Adams said Vietnam and Australia have several opportunities to discuss transformative technologies like AI. She expressed her hope that the two countries will work together through APEC to seize emerging opportunities and tackle shared challenges.
