IMC is an annual event held in rotation in member countries for excellent mathematics students from more than 40 countries and territories around the world. This year, IMC is held for the first time in Vietnam under the name VIMC 2025 and Vietnam has 32 students participating.

Tran Anh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said: “I hope that each of you will enter this exam with confidence, courage, and readiness to conquer the pinnacle of knowledge, but not forget to enjoy the exchange and new experiences that the International Mathematics Competition 2025 brings."
"Regardless of the results, I believe that the journey you are on is a solid foundation for you to become global citizens, ready to contribute to the development of the community and society in the future,” he said.

The five-day competition exam consists of Individual Round and Team Round, covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry, combinatorics, logic and strategic thinking. The main language of the exam is English.
