Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People's Committee, told the event that Chile is Vietnam's fourth-largest trading partner in Latin America, while Vietnam tops Chile's list of ASEAN partners. There remains vast potential for cooperation between the two countries, particularly in green economy, digital transformation, clean energy, renewable energy, mining, innovation, trade, investment, logistics, high-tech agriculture and food, engineering, and cultural exchanges.

“The deep sentiment in the traditional friendship between the two countries, along with the highly promising potential for cooperation based on each side's strengths and advantages, are the foundation for Vietnam and Chile, and Da Nang and Chilean localities to further develop,” said Ms Thi.

Ms Nasly Isabel Bernal Prado, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Chile, expressed her confidence that Chile and Vietnam will continue to deepen a relationship that benefits both nations and brings the Latin American and Southeast Asian regions closer together.

As part of the celebration, a photo exhibition featuring the achievements of 55 years of Vietnam–Chile diplomatic telationswas held, showcasing valuable historical photographs and documents from the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1971 to the signature products and tourism potential of both countries.
