Deputy PM Dung reaffirmed the Party, State, and Government’s consistent policy of developing atomic energy for peaceful purposes, ensuring safety, security, nuclear non-proliferation, and full compliance with international treaties.

Vietnam appreciates the IAEA's role and efforts to promote the peaceful use of atomic energy and support countries in building nuclear infrastructure, he said. Since becoming an IAEA member, Vietnam's cooperation with the agency has become increasingly effective and practical, Dung said.

Chudakov said the agency will assist Vietnam with training courses, technical tools, and professional consultation and will help Vietnam connect with international partners and suppliers to aid its nuclear power programs. He pledged to help Vietnam complete its nuclear infrastructure and deploy its nuclear power programs safely, effectively, and in line with international standards.
